Reply from Ruth - ""I'm afraid I have no idea" ... I didn't really know the lads in the CCF, just some of the girls. That said... wasn't his surname 'Paul'? Was he maybe the son of Stan and Rita Paul, who lived in Mosta? I don't know - just I vaguely remember my father working with Stan Paul and I was friendly with Denise, their daughter. Whether this young man in the picture is of the same family, I have no idea. This was an exciting time for us girls - the first ever WRAF CCF contingent on Malta, probably the first in Europe too, and possibly in the world as well. I know I enjoyed my time in the Cadets - it led to 9 years in the RAF for me."
