Thanks for that picture, used to swim there nearly every day as I lived just across the road in Navarino flats, tuck the Lilo under the arm and two minutes walk, fantastic.

Thought you were at Tigne?
phillrose   [Aug 31, 2009 at 09:40 AM]
2nd. tour, lived at Tigne overlooking Sliema Creek, keeping an eye on the fleet, then moved out to Navarino Flats in Stella Maris Street, a new build filled with Navy and Dockyard people.
Oh happy happy days!!!!!

Knew a Ray Hart. Any relation? Was the Meadowbank Jukebox in that kiosk that looks like a bus shelter? I think its still there.

At last, a picture of Meadowbank Hotel and the jukebox cafe. I spent half of my life there for two and a half years (the other half at Rockyvale). Anyone know Sandy & Jill Hartt in 16 Naverino Flats?
Prefect   [Sep 30, 2009 at 11:48 AM]
Sandy was there in 1960. Meadowbank Juke box was in a stone building (that they turned into Surf Side) down on the rocks by the cut out pools. Sold cold coke and beer and the juke box was outside and we used to dance and then jump in the pools to cool off. Ran in my time by Mr & Mrs Holland but I believe it was owned by the Meadowbank Hotel.

Sandra Hartt is listed on the main TH Reunion Database.

Thank you Milkmonitor, have just noticed your post and I have asked for info on the Common Room site.

Hello Sheila - I have been looking for Lorraine & Glenys Hart on behalf of Les Hutton. Do you think that might be the same family?
Sheila Evans   [Oct 02, 2010 at 01:26 PM]
Sorry Martin but I think not. Sandy and Jill were the only two in that family when I knew them.
Martin Powell   [Oct 02, 2010 at 02:52 PM]
Thanks Sheila.
