Ah so! Didnt venture into that dark corner but thought someone must have pinched the cylinders.

So, looks like an IC engine to me, no boiler required. Do we know the vintage of all this gear?

Probably just before WW2? There was BD in Grand Harbour in WW1 but not sure about Marsamxett. If so would probably have been updated?
