I lived at No 1 Shangri La Flats, on Pretty Bay, from 1965 and left in 1968...and this is just how I remembered it! Kennys Bar was just below our flat. Beach is now gone, and replaced with concrete design (yeuch!.

Are you sure? It seemed to still be there last year, with imported sand? By the way, in 67-8, your Art teachers were probably Mr Bob (...)erson or Miss Clegg. ( The software thinks his name is rude! Delta India Charlie Kilo erson).

Yes, sorry, it is imported sand, with palm trees and such...just not the same at all ....spent hours on this beach, and up towards Kalafrana, after coming home from school. Many thanks for the art teachers names!...Miss Clegg rings a bell...I remember my Maths teacher was Lt Cmdr Butler, and I also have a few school mates names. I'm so glad I've found your site!
