Terrible upheaval, did MFL get any official praise for coping with that chaotic trauma?

Dunno. It was probably put down as "exigencies of the Service." He did get promoted.

To OiC Schools Malta & Naples, thence to DNES. (Directorate of Naval Education Service, Whitehall).

However he wouldnt have been wearing whites in January so this must be unpacking in July.
