4 May 1954. Britannia has just arrived with cruiser escort.

Right. She was out again in about 1960. I sailed past her on a yacht and took a photo of us reflected in her mirror-like paint (pity I can't find it!!) Only yesterday I was talking to an old Portsmouth Dockyard painter who used to apply that paint to Britannia's sides!
