Five minutes or twenty? We should have airbrushed out the ball and had a spot the ball competition. They seem to have had quite small ones then.

Funny you should mention that. I've had 2nd thoughts and re-edited to show a more likely ball candidate.

Probably not the same year, but my first ever competetive game of football was played on this pitch in 1955(?). I played left half for St Andrews School against Tigne Schoool. Happy memories. I went on to represent Drake House junior team at Tal Handaq
