So when was Moorhen out there? Dad was responsible for the mooring vessels up to 59, and as I remember the three were Moorfly, YC389 & YC345. Could probably do with a little more fan on the boilers!!

MP remembers her there in the 60s and there is photo evidence but not good enough to post.

I believe one of the mooring vessels sailed back to the UK towards the end of the naval base days, possibly this one, do not think the old Moorfly would have made it, the two YC's did not have engines.
