Is it assumed she was going to moor between the buoys, if so where, as, from memory none of moorings would be large enough. Question

I think she used Pieta Creek where the buoys normally used by RFA Forts would probably suffice. Reference to it here (page 4). Though why they should go there rather than GH is a puzzle.

As you say it is a puzzle, surely GH was not that congested, however must have made a grand sight in Pieta. Must check the chart in the Cassar book which gives the pitch between the moorings.
Just checked, 2 moorings in Pieta Creek, 600' & 750' on chart dated 1961, fit in there OK.
