What a splendid photograph. I can name almost everyone on it, including Robin Palmer who is fourth from the left. Robert Palmer was of course only eight years old in 1957.

Seated from the left is 'Nina' Waterworth. dunno, dunno, Jill Wicken, dunno, Marigold Barrett, Val Woods, dunno, Gail Tainsch, (I always spell her name wrong. Sorry Gail), Liz Wilkinson, who was head girl and told me off on my first day at school. No wonder I have a problem with women. And finally, Sheila Grimwood. I thought she was really lovely and so did my Dad but she was too old for me and too young for my Dad.

Thanks Admin, I knew that. Just wanted to see if you were paying attention. As for the date young Jane. You are probably right. Winter of 1956 Robin Palmer was still in the UK and winter of 1958 he was home again as was, I think, Jack, Roddy, Stan,Bill, oh all the boys. Is that Anna Palmer fourth from the right? And is that Janet Ogden third from the left. This is a terrible photo! Who took it, Stevie Wonder?

This would have been winter 57/58 when I was in lower sixth. At a mini reuinion on the Isle of Wight 23-25 September 2014, organised by Stan Hill, seven of those in the photo were present! This photo was circulated and the consensus view was pretty much as Bass Player above with George Whitehouse between Robin Palmer and Bob Trott, then Pat Dixon next to Nina Waterworth and Rita Mays next to Pat. Gill Howe was between Jill Wicken and Marigold Barrett and Anna Palmer between Val Wood (no "s") and Gail Tainsh.
