Third from the left is Bob Powell. In front of him is a lad called Hopkins. That was his surname. I think he is crouching. I don't remember him being that short. Or the lad to his left. David. The tall guy at the back became a policeman in Portsmouth. I can't remember his name. I remember that he had a younger brother but I can't remember his name either. I do remember that he was shorter than his big brother. Thats how you could tell them appart. Does that help?

I've just noticed that I spelt 'apart' with two p's. I can distinctly remember being of school on the day they did spelling.

I have the very back row as Mathews, Powell and Richer with Hopkins in front of them, right hand three as per caption. Squatting at the front left looks like Tom Maylor.
