Tal-Handaq Nostalgia

Memories of the Royal Naval School, Malta, 1947 - 1978.

Verdala's palm tree in 2010 ©
Jane Banks (formerly Stubbs) put this on the Verdala site after the reunion of 2010. She was the life and soul of the party but very sadly died four months later. Her husband Charlie took this and I know she would have been happy for it to be on the THN site.

From left David Pickett, Old Bat, Jane Banks and Graeme Woodall. The centre trunk (looking like a big stick) is the one that most former Verdalans remember. It would appear that this has now been removed, along with one of the offshoots.

Yes Miss, Very sad, she was not only the "life and soul" at the reunion but a very enthusiastic contributor who gave a lot to both the Tal handaq and Verdala sites. Wish we had a few more like her!!
