Surely that's not THE Verdala palm tree? Last time we saw it there were THREE that seemed to be growing from the same root.

Does anyone know EXACTLY when Verdala RN School finally closed its gates? Was it 1976 or '78? - and what time of year? Apparently a new history is being written (perhaps about RN Schools generally as it's by two schoolies who didn't actually serve in Malta)

According to Capt Law -"St Davids Infants School Mtarfa closed in July 1975 and Verdala a year later." See History page .... Now confirmed by MP as Wed 14 July 1976.

i went to verdala school in 1975 when it was under the british. then went to tal handaq until it was closed. and again came back to verdala but then it became an american oil company school. i studied there for a year in 1982.

That must have been when it was Verdala International School was it, Noor? And for all ages? You must be about the only pupil who was there both before and after the Brits left!
